News #14: Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile Race – Prospect Park, Brooklyn

On March 9, nearly 300 runners gathered in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, to take on the 5K & 7-Mile races. Despite the chilly weather, the sun was shining, and the energy was high as participants pushed through the course with determination and enthusiasm.

The event brought together runners of all levels, from seasoned athletes to those looking to challenge themselves in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere. The scenic route through the park made for a memorable race, and the cheers from spectators added to the excitement.

Video #251: The Six-Hour Swim in Hungary

On December 8th, a remarkable six-hour swim event took place near Budapest, Hungary, attracting approximately 160 swimmers from three countries. Participants had the option to compete either solo or as part of a relay team, showcasing endurance, teamwork, and dedication.

The event delivered impressive results, with the top female swimmer completing an astounding 21,200 meters and the leading male swimmer covering an equally commendable 19,400 meters. The swimmers’ achievements highlighted the spirit of determination that defined the day.

This annual event not only celebrates the love for swimming but also brings together athletes from different nations to test their limits and foster cross-border friendships.
