Sydney’s annual Sri Chinmoy Dolls Point event – held since 2007 – truly outdid itself this year. Athletes gathered at Peter Depena Reserve for the Half-Marathon, 10 km, and 5 km, with several course records falling and performances that turned an ordinary Sunday into something extraordinary.
Anna Heath shattered the Half-Marathon F50‑59 record with an outstanding time of 1:27:38, while Jackie Murdy claimed the F60‑69 record at 1:32:44, finishing as the 5th woman overall. Teenage standout Eamon Corry made waves in the 5 km, setting a Boys Under 17 record with 16:58.
Men’s Half-Marathon winner Mitch McInnes ran a sharp 1:16:56, followed by Rede Carney (1:18:25) and Ian Gabriel (1:21:30). In the women’s under‑50 field, Madeleine Hoff led with 1:28:13.
The 10 km saw Fran Bell top the men in 37:13, and Jenny Dowd lead the women in 43:10. Young runners shone too: Eamon’s record run, Emma Felsman’s outright win in 21:37 (Girls U13), and Marcus Feldman’s Male 17+ win in 22:15.
With nearly two-thirds of participants tackling the Half-Marathon, the flat two-lap course crossing Captain Cook Bridge under sunny skies delivered memorable moments for all.
