From October 19th to 22nd, Coimbra, Portugal, hosted Mate, an international festival celebrating art, education, and technology. Two projects from the Sri Chinmoy Centre were voted on by the public and subsequently chosen by the jury to be showcased: a Jharna-Kala art presentation and the premiere of the film 3100: Run and Become.
This event has opened exciting opportunities for 2025, including Jharna-Kala exhibitions from February to June and screenings of the film in three additional cities. Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved and most of all to our beloved Guru.

The 2024 edition of the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence Race saw Andrea Marcato win his 5th consecutive race in a time of – 43 days +03:04:06. The race, inspired by Sri Chinmoy, encompasses many unique stories of Self-Transcendence. The Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence Race 3100 Mile race takes place annually over 52 days, with runners traversing a .5488 mile loop around a sports field, playground, and high school in Jamaica, Queens, New York City. To finish, runners must average close to 60 miles per day.

The Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race is the world’s longest certified race. Founded in 1997 by Sri Chinmoy, it has run annually for the past 27 years. Each runner strives to complete the distance of 3100 miles within the allowed 52 days. An average of just under 60 miles a day.
