Music groups from around the world performed melodies of Sri Chinmoy in the church IHS Igreja do Colégio in Funchal, Madeira. The concert was part of a series called “Song of the Soul” and took place on January 13, 2019.
This is the first time that the spiritual music group SAVITA from Kazaksthan was on tour in Zurich, Switzerland. They are all disciples of Sri Chinmoy and played and sang their master’s melodies and also used two native instruments of their country: the Kobyz (a kind of violin) and Dombra (a kind of mandolin). On August 27 Krishna Das offered a special concert in New York at the Aspiration Ground. He performed with two members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre: Sadanand Magee (Ireland) and Nelson Myers (New Zealand).
Boris Grebenshikov (Purushottama) offered a special concert in New York dedicated to Sri Chinmoy. Purushottama performed with a selection of international guests, including several members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre.
