Video #233: Sri Chinmoy 24-Hour, 12-Hour & Midnight Marathon (New York –  June 8-9, 2024)

On June 8-9, 2024, the Sri Chinmoy 24-Hour, 12-Hour & Midnight Marathon at Rockland Lake State Park, just 45 min. north of NYC, took place. Featuring a scenic, “pancake flat” and fast 2.95 mile paved loop around beautiful Rockland Lake, the races were a resounding success, with nearly 170 runners participating in the challenging events. The breakdown of participants included:

– 24-Hour Race: 40 runners
– 12-Hour Race: 78 runners
– Midnight Marathon: 51 runners

The dedication and effort of the participants, along with the support from volunteers and organizers, contributed to the smooth running and overall success of the races.

Video #228: First Sri Chinmoy 24-12-6 Hour Race – Skopje (8-9.6.2024)

The First Sri Chinmoy 24-12-6 hour race in Skopje took place this weekend, featuring 47 participants, including three 3100-mile finishers. In the 24-hour race, Andrea Marcato won the men’s category with 165 km, while Katerina Sipovic, the national Macedonian champion, won the women’s category with 175 km. Ayojan added a heartfelt touch to the awards ceremony, making it a memorable event. The runners were extremely happy and satisfied with the event. Video #227: Sri Chinmoy Half Marathon (Melbourne – 9 June 2024)

 

Start of the Sri Chinmoy Albert Park Half Marathon in Melbourne today, 9th June 2024, with close to 700 runners participating in a half marathon, plus 10K and 5K events. The event includes the famous post-race pancake breakfast. Members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in Melbourne & Geelong helped organize the event.

Video #225: Sri Chinmoy 7 & 13 Hour Races (Magnuson Park, Seattle – May 25, 2024)

The 7-Hour Race is the perfect jumping-off event for runners seeking to go beyond the marathon distance, while the 13-Hour Race is a true ultra-running experience. Team runners cheer each other on and work to achieve a timed goal. All the races are in an enthusiastic, cheerful and meditative atmosphere. The 1.54-mile loop course offers views of Lake Washington and the back woods of Seattle’s most scenic park.

102 runners entered the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 2 Mile Race, Oxford 2024 on 6th May. It happened to be the 70th Anniversary of Roger Bannister breaking the first sub-four-minute mile at Iffley Road, Track, Oxford. This video captures a flavour of the event, plus short archive footage from 1954.

Video #216: Sri Chinmoy 100k/50k – Anglo-Celtic Plate 2024

On Sunday, 24 March, the Sri Chinmoy 100k/50k Ultra Races were held in scenic North Inch Park, Perth, Scotland, on a loop course. The Edinburgh Centre, with help from UK disciples and the local Scottish ultra community (who love and support our races) helped organize the event. The 100k race incorporated the annual Anglo Celtic Plate home countries event, as well as the Scottish 100km road championship, and the British 100km championship for 2024.
