In a historic moment for Russian ultra-running, the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team launched its very first 6-Day Self-Transcendence Race in Moscow on Friday, August 8. Held in the serene Voronovo district, athletes circled a picturesque pond complete with dancing fountains on a certified track that harmoniously blends nature and endurance.

A total of 40 runners from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia embarked on this daring multi-day journey, ranging from veteran ultramarathoners to newcomers exploring the limits of the human spirit. The event also features shorter formats, including a 3-Day Race, a 48-Hour Race, and a 24-Hour Race, offering accessible entry points for varying endurance levels.

Organizers provided comprehensive support: aid stations, medical services, rest areas, all designed to nurture both body and soul on this journey of aspiration.

News #38: 34th Sri Chinmoy 12/24‑Hour Race – Basel, Switzerland

The 34th Sri Chinmoy 12/24‑Hour Race was held June 14–15 at St. Jakob’s sports complex in Basel. On a flat, fast 1.1 km loop, the competition showcased impressive endurance and the spirit of self‑transcendence.

Top finishers in the 24-hour race:

  • Men’s winner: Andrea Marcato (Italy/Switzerland) covered 156.71 km
  • Women’s winner: Ilvaka Nemcova (Czech Republic) logged 135.18 km
