Video #311: Balinese Students Meditate for Seven Minutes of World Peace

In Bali, Kadek Eni Marhaeni guided her students at the Business College of Politeknik Negeri Bali in an early observance of Seven Minutes of World Peace — seven minutes of meditation and prayer dedicated to the hope for harmony, unity, and inner peace.

The students also explored the college’s newly created Peace Garden, a serene space designed to inspire reflection and spiritual connection. Soon, aphorisms by Sri Chinmoy will be displayed there, offering daily guidance toward love, compassion, and the oneness of all humanity.

Seven Minutes of World Peace is a global initiative inspired by Sri Chinmoy. Every year on September 21 — the International Day of Peace — people in over 40 countries pause for seven minutes of meditation and prayer, sending their heartfelt intentions for peace into the world. The Bali observance joined this worldwide movement, reminding us all of the power of collective aspiration and the sacred potential of mindful prayer.

Peace is not the absence of war.
Peace is the presence of love
and the oneness of all humanity.
— Sri Chinmoy

Video #205: Invitation of Sri Chinmoy Seven minutes of World Peace Event at UN on 9/21/2023

Recent interview with Nilima about this Thursday’s Seven Minutes of World Peace by award winning Bangladeshi TV news anchor Dima Nefartity, followed by a Centre presentation at a program initiated by the New York City Mayor’s office called “Breaking Bread, Building Bonds.”

Seven Minutes of World Peace was inaugurated in 1984 by Sri Chinmoy: The Peace Meditation at the United Nations. Since its inception, numerous individuals and groups from around the world have participated, and letters and proclamations have been received from Heads of State, governors and mayors.

It is a soulful prelude to the United Nations Peace Bell Ceremony, which itself “rings in” the International Day of Peace.
