News #41: Oneness‑Dream Choir Completes Spirit‑Lifting Tour of Hungary

Over a heartfelt seven-day journey, the Oneness‑Dream choir brought the meditative songs of Sri Chinmoy to 18 churches across Hungary, touching hearts with a 45-minute program of 40 spirit-lifting songs, including 24 performed at every concert. Audiences ranged from 30–40 attendees to larger gatherings of 110 and 124 music lovers.

From May 12–16, 2025, Hungary became a radiant beacon of peace as the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run traversed the country. Covering over 360 km in just five days, the team was greeted by more than 1,500 enthusiastic children and supporters, filling the route with sunshine, laughter, and boundless goodwill.

Schools joined spontaneously, torch in hand, with radiant faces and hearts open wide. The atmosphere was electric—fueled by joy, unity, and the unmistakable feeling that something truly special was unfolding. While local media highlighted the event across Hungary, it was the children—running, singing, and sharing the torch—who truly carried the spirit of the Peace Run forward.

Video #229: Jharna Kala Exhibition Shines in Kalocsa

From mid-May, the small town of Kalocsa, Hungary, hosted a remarkable Jharna Kala exhibition at the Nicolas Schöffer Collection. Over the span of a month, visitors enjoyed 60 stunning art pieces, each capturing the essence of Sri Chinmoy’s vision. The opening ceremony was a highlight, featuring performances of Sri Chinmoy’s music by dedicated disciple groups. Adding to the cultural tapestry, the exhibition was part of the city’s annual Blue Bird Festival. Throughout the exhibition, attendees could watch continuous video footage of Sri Chinmoy in the creative process. A statue of Sri Chinmoy added a personal touch, and one lucky visitor won a Jharna Kala artwork in a raffle. The event was a beautiful blend of Sri Chinmoy’s art, music, and community spirit.

Video #181: 827 children sing peace songs by Sri Chinmoy (Pécs, Hungary – October 21, 2019)

On October 21, 2019, 827 children (between 7-19 years old) from 23 schools in Pécs and the surrounding area sang at the famous Kodály Center – one of the best music halls in Hungary – 15 peace songs in Bengali and English by Sri Chinmoy, accompanied by the ensemble “Mountain-Silence” in honor of the United Nations International Day of Peace. At the end all the children – the whole audience – gave a standing ovation, clapping and thrumming enthusiastically. As an “encore” the children sang two songs once more with great joy and enthusiasm.
